Tell us about your career journey at Intertek?
After training in a Norwegian telecom company I got curious about the upcoming oil industry. As I had electronics skills, the metering and calibration service suited me, and I found a company called Con-Tech who needed workers. This company then became Intertek in year 1998. Throughout my 35 years I have had different positions within Intertek and gained a lot of experience within fiscal metering.
I started as a technician/trainee 1986-93. From 1993-1998 I worked as a Senior Metering specialist. From 1998-2004 I served as technical manager and then became metering manager in 2004. Since 2010 my position has been metering specialist in the calibration department. All this time in the same department while the company changed names from Con-Tech to West Lab and now Intertek West Lab.
